PRINCE HENRY TO TOUR
REPLACING PRINCE GEORGE CHANGE APPROVED BY KING MELBOURNE CENTENARY PLANS. VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegrapli Copyrlgnt.) Received 10.40 a.m. to-day. SYDNEY, April 30. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons has issued the following text of a telegram which the GovernorGeneral has received from the Private Secretary to the King: “The King has decided, in view of the licavv strain entailed, that it would be inadvisable for Prince George, after his successful tour of South Afrcia, to undertake within a year a second important. tour of six months duration. His.. Majesty .therefore has been pleased, after consultation with the- Governors- General of Australia and New Zealand, to approve that the Duke of Gloucester (Prince Henry), who ‘lias not. yef had an opportunity of visiting the Dominions, shall represent his Majesty at the centenary celebrations in Victoria and carry out the programmes arranged for Prince George in Australia and New Zealand.
