MOTOR WORKERS’ STRIKE
. EXTENSION FROM CHESTER, ANOTHER 2,200 JOIN. (United Press Association— By Electric, T-Megrapb Copyright.) EDGEWATER, (N.J.), S'ept.2B. A delegation of 1500 strikers of the Ford Chester plant appeared before the same company’s local plant following a night ride in 250 automobiles and began picketing. This resulted in a walk-out of 2200 employees here m sympathy with the strike. Immediately following the Chester strike the Ford Company officials closed the plant The efforts of the Washington N.R.A. Labour Bond’d to mediate failed. Senator Wagner declared himself helpless. ‘T cannot stop an employer from shutting Ins plant if he wants to,” he said.
