FALSE ACCOUNTS ALLEGED
INSURANCE FRAUD CHARGES. BAIR REMANDED' AT -SYDNEY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.i -SYDNEY, Jan. 31. William Thedeus Page, aged 45, - compan3' director, and Oswald Elfe Corkhill, aged 47, a secretary, werf charged at the Central Police Court with attempted fraud. The charges were that Page anil Corkhill, manager and secretary respectively of the Associated Domin ions Assurance Society, Limited, circulated and published a balance-sheet which was false in certain material particulars, in that ir was falsely stated that the assets of he company were f 236,241, they then well knowing the particulars to be false, with intent to deceive and defraud shareholders in 'he company. Page and Corkfll were remanded until February 7.
