Last week’s deaths numbered 1589 Many other European countries are experiencing the epidemic, but none so .seriously as. Britain, which had 1041 deaths in the week ended January 14 out. of a. world-wide total of 3000. It- is now estimated that from 10 to 15 nor cent, of the whole adult- population is down with the attack.
