GRADUAL EXPANSION
BRITISH TRADE HIPROVING
IRON AND COTTON .GOODS.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Nov. 13. The London iron and steel exchange weekly report states that British manufacturers are experiencing a gradual but definite expansion of activity, more export business is being done and greater confidence is apparent in the market. The pig-iron department is becoming more healthy, and in this, as in the unfinished steel and finished steel branches, an improvement in demand is noticeable. British cotton goods exports m the past ten months show that Lancashire’s staple trade also is improving. Exports of printed cotton goods m the past ten months have increased by over 100,060,000 square yards in comparison with the corresponding period last year.
