OPERA HOUSE. “RICH MAN’S FOLLY”. In “Rich Man’s Folly,” which will be the feature at the Opera House, Hawera, to-night and to-morrow night, George Bancroft has one of the strongest character roles he Fas ever undertaken. Bancroft acts the part of a big shipbuilder, a man of large affairs in the business world, a dominating personality who has stifled all love, and friendly feeling. The story is one of big enterprise, ship-building. Money, power, ambition are the only things “Brock Trumbull’.’ values. Kindness, a fair chance for others, love, friendship, romance are all set aside, until luck turns against him. Then, at last, he realises the folly of piling up wealth and losing the love and friendship of those near and dear. The leading feminine role is played by Frances. Dee. Seats may be reserved at Miss Blake’s, ’phono 2.713. COMING ATTRACTIONS. The J. O. AVibiamson vaudeville attraction “Paula and Pauline,” tightrope walkers and dainty dancers, will be presented at the Opera House matinee on Saturday in conjunction with Metro-Goldwyn’s “The New Adventures of Get-Rich-Quick 'Wallingford.” The new picture, based oh the later Wallingford stories, written by George Randolph Chester, features the effervescent Haines in the role of the redoubtable “J. Rufus,” while elongated Elrnest Torrence and Jimmy Durante appear as his genial companions. The part of such a cheerful sooundrel as Wallingford comes naturally to William Haines, while his two pals in crime and sentimental reformation are also responsible for the success of the comedy.

The supports include scenes of Phar Lap winning the Agua. Caliente Handicap and the Desert Gold-Gloaming race at Hawera in 1919. Lancli in the leading role. Featured with her in this Fox photo-play are Lionel Barrymore and Laurence Olivier.
