PRISONER’S DEATH JUMP

Returning from the Metz prison chapel, where at his own request he had been taken to pray, a Moroccan sergeant, Yazid Massoud, eluded his guard and jumped to his death from a sixth-floor window.
Massaoud was awaiting trial for murdering two Flrench sisters following the refusal of one to dance with him.
