COURT DISMISSES CHARGE. | BAD LANGUAGE CONVICTION. ' (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WHANGAREI, May 24. Charges of assaulting Mr. Tau Henare, M.P. for the Northern Maori electorate, and of using obscene language v 7 ere preferred against Frederick “Stratford Bea-ehniaii before Mr. Morris, S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court to-day. The evidence, which was of a conflicting nature, showed that the failure of Mr. Henare’s -son to close a gate at the Motatau railway yard had led defendant to use bad language to him. Mr. Tau Henare, on approaching was struck, an eye being blackened, making necessary his absence from Parliament. . . . The magistrate dismissed the assault charge, hut fined Beachman £5 for using had language.
