Pleading guilty to the theft of £1832, the property of the Mosgiel Borough Council between March, 1926. and April, 1932, Henry Butcher, extown clerk, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. He also pleaded guilty to attempted suicide on April 22 and was remanded for a week.
