BIG DECREASE IN YEAR
FALL OF OVER A THIRD

WASHINGTON, Aug. 23. A final analysis of the foreign trade during the year ended June 30, issued by the Department of Commerce today, showed that exports totalled £616,500.000, a decrease of 34 per cent, and imports £486,400,000, a decrease of 37 per cent. Exports to Oceania totalled £12,800,000, a decrease of £19,200,000. Exports to Australia showed a decrease of 64 per cent and exports to New Zealand showed a decrease of 47 per cent. Exports of automobiles to Australia were valued at only £400,000.
