HEAVY FIRE LOSSES
GISBORNE DISTRICT OUTBREAKS SIX IN A WEEK
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) GISBORNE, March 5. Six outbreaks of fire have occurred in country districts* around Gisborne during the* past week. These include the homes of G. Price, of Ofcoko, which was insured for £500; Mr W. Braybrook (Patutahi), insured for £285; Mr Waaka Clark (Ttfkoma.ru Bay), insurance unavailable; Mr N. Lo*w (Tinirotu), insured for £500: Mrs M. J.j Kirk’s store at Manutuke, insured for £6OO on the building and £2OO on the stock; and the British Traders’ Post Office store at Eraser town, owned by Mr Kenneth, the insurance on which is not available. The last named was heavily stocked and the* whole contents,’ including mail, were Tost.
