KARA R AMR A SOCIETY. ANNUAL MEETING. There was a fair attendance of members of the Kakaramea Sports and Agriculture Association at the annual meeting held at Kakaramea last night, Air F. S. Tarrant, president, being in the chair. The statement of accounts presented bv the secretary showed a credit balance of £24 11s 2d at the end of the year. The principal items of revenue were: Donations £6 10s, gates £4l 11s, nominations £4O los fid, dance £3/ llsjld, catering, etc., £8 ss, tickets £lO rOs. rent £2B 2s fid.

Expenditure included: Prize money £4B 18s fid, trophies £32 17s fid, dance £2O Ts 9d«, hand £5, advertising and printing £2l. 14s fid, honorarium £7 cs. The assets included: Bank balance 024 11s 2d, Post Office Savings Bank £75, rent duo £lB 15s, and liability accounts due £6 fis 3d. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the balance-sheet, congratulated the association on the success of the year’s working, the credit balance, at the bank being increased from £5 Lis 2d to £2l 11s 2d, with practically no liabilities, the balance of assets being £lll 19-s lid. The gate receipts, it was interesting to note, showed a substantial increase.

Ho said that although a good day had been experienced for the sports, they would not pay without the rent of the ground. All had enjoyed the meeting and he congratulated and thanked the committee and stewards and lion, secretary* for tlieir good work. All officials put tlieir shoulders to tlie wheel for the good of the association. Although the sports did not pay, the association was in a. very* strong, posi- 1 lion financially, few, if any, others being so sound.
