AI AN A! A ON WEDNESDAY The Waimate Horticultural Show wd he held at Alanaia on Wednesday. The committee have made every preparation lor a successful display and it is hoped that the full support, of the public will he given. There will be the usual classes for cut flowers, pot plants, vegetables, farm produce, home industries, fancy work, school section, etc., and it is hoped that exhibitors will send forward entries in good numbers. Early staging of exhibits will he greatly appreciated by five stewards. Late entries will he taken until to-morrow night by the secretary, Air V. H. Hobday. In the afternoon an attractive programme of children’s sports will be held on the Domain. including flat races, sack races, monkey races, tricycle races, tyre races ;iiul obstacle, races. Small cash prizes will lie awarded to the winners. Aliniatuie golf, hoop-la. chain stepping and sheep guessing competitions will also take place. A programme of humorous sketches in the evening will be presented by a Kaponga concert party comprising Alessrs Carder, Tonkin, Kendall and Rodie.
