PRIVATE HOSPITAL’S APPEAL
FUNDS FOR RECONSTRUCTION. (By T«le*rapn--rress Association.) HASTINGS, Feb. 16. The Royston Private Hospital, Hastings, the medical and nursing staff of which, together with voluntary- workers, played such a magnificent part in organising an emergency hospital during the earthquake, is the subject of a. public appeal for funds for reconstruction. The hospital work during the disaster was the salvation of the' town so far as casualties were concerned, and the present appeal is likely to meet a ready response and l provide the town with much-needed hospital service. The large Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital here is not a casualty- hospital.
