BOARDING-HOUSE FIRE
blaze on marine parade. GOOD SAVE BY BRIGADE. (By lelegraph —Presa Association.) NAPIER, Jan. 16. A boardinghouse known as Beach House, on the Marine Parade, a singlestory bui'iding of 20 rooms; wars partially destroyed bv fire which originated in the back of the premises in the early hours of this morning. llie Napier brigade made an excellent save in the front portion of the building, but the back part was practically de L istroyed. The building was owned by Mrs. M. E. Rott and occupied by Mrs. H. J. Hay. It was insured for £I6OO and the contents were covered to the extent of £950.
