BOWLING
KAPONGA CLUB. The following two rinks wilt represent the Kaponga Club versus Rakotci at Rahotu: Law, Jones., Tonkin and Cran; O’Neill, J. Haminensley, AVilliani;s and Fallows. On Kaponga green the two rinks to meet AVarea are as follows 1 : Fever, N. Gardner, V. Tait, and Dawson; Pasco©, A. Tait, Death and Tyack. The secretary of the Kaponga Club (J. IT. Tyack) has received advice that the competitions for the Christie Shield wid be hekl this year at Kaponga. The competition is •open to all clubs in the western division and also' to the naia and Oipunak® •Club®. Entries will close on December 24. The .matches will be played on the local green on Boxing Day and the day following, when it is anticipated a record number ■of teams will visit Kaponga.
