Consequent upon falling revenue the tramways department of the AVelling-' ton City Corporation is contemplating a reduction in expenditure by means of retrenchment in the staff. Action in contemplation will, it is understood, affect pretty well the whole of the staff, possibly in the direction of “docking” a day’s work .per week from each of the motormen and conductors.
