HIGH COMMISSIONER’S POST. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY", Dec. 16. The Secretary for the Dominions, Mr J. H. Thomas, questioned in the House of Commons on* the appointment of a High Commissioner to Australia, said lie intended to renew the cpiestion of representation of the United Kingdom in Australia, and could not, make any statement at present.
Replying to a question about the appointment of Governors to Australian States, he said the Imperial Conference conclusions regarding the appointment of Governors did not apply to State Governors.
