The East Renfrew by-election resulted : —• Marquis of Clydesdale (Con.) . 019,653 Mr Irwin (Lab.) 12,293 Mi- Brown (Lab.) 4,818 The Marquis of Clydesdale is a bachelor aged 27 and is known as the Boxing Marauis. Ho is an aviator, the son and Tieir of the Duke of Hamilton. The Labour poll dropped nearly 5000 compared with the last election. Eighty-one per cent, of the electorate voted.
