A sher riff’s posse is conducting a great man-hunt for a fiendish horseman wlio wiped out a Duchess County family of four with a knife. All were stabbed to death in and round their farmhouse. James G erm on d, his wife Mabel, both aged 47, and their son and daughter died when the killer with uncanny precision plunged his knife into their hearts. No trace of a- knife has been found, but unmistakeable and definite foot- 1 prints of a horse has. been discovered 1 .
