WORKERS’ COMPENSATION
GOVERNMENT BILL POSTPONED. (By Telegraph—Special to “The Star.”) WELLINGTON, Oct. 27. The Labour Bills Committee reported to the House on Saturday that it had considered the Government’s proposed amendments to the Workers’ Compensation Act following in. the main the recommendations of the commission which investigated the working of the system during the recess. They reported as follows: That owing !-,o the present financial stringency of the Dominion the committee recommend that the Bill be not proceeded with this, season.
