JAPANESE NAVY
COLLISION DURING MANOEUVRES CRUISER INCAPACITATED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) TOKIO, Oct. 22. Naval manoeuvres in the presence of the Emperor are proceeding. The cruiser Abukuma, while participating, was yesterday incapacitated by collision with another cruiser, and is proceeding to Yokosuka under escort, and is due to-morrow. There is official silence as to details.
The Abukuma is a light cruiser of •5170 tons and a speed of 33 knots, and carries a complement of 450 men. She was launched in 1923.
