FEDERAL CABINET ASSEMBLING

(United Prc-ss Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright..)

CANBERRA, Sept. 12. Members of the Federal Cabinet are assembling at the Federal capital in order to take practical measures to .solve the financial depression. Sir Robert Gibson, chairman of the Commonwealth Bank Board, and Mi-. H. W. Gapp, the former head of the Migration Commission, will act as advisers to the Cabinet on matters of finance and trade development. They already have submitted a report emphasising that the costs of production must come down, enabling Australian products to be sold overseas at a profit, otherwise the unemployment will probably increase to 500,000 by Christmas.
