JUDGMENTS BY DEFAULT,
At the AA’averlev Court yesterday, before Air H. Middleton, J.P., and Mr H. AAV James, J.P., judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following civil claims: Heginhotham Bros. v. P. O’Connor, £1 2s (costs £1 10s); H. AL Howell v. C. Archer, £2 7s lid (£1 7s 6d); D. AV. Hill v. G. Canterbury, £2 Os lid (£1 os 6d).
MOTORISTS’ OFFENCES,
Several charges of breaches of the motor regulations were dealt with. For having an insufficiently lighted vehicle T. R. Wright was fined £1 and costs 10s. For similar offences Denis Carrol and Percival AA'ilkiusoii were each fined £1 and costs 10s. Because he exceeded the speed limit through AYaverley. travelling over 25 miles per hour, O. AT. N. Jacobsen was fined 20s and costs 10s. P. Wilkinson was fined £1 and 10s costs for having wrong number plates, R. S. Howe, for overloading a motor lorry, was ordered to pay costs ]os. A 7. F. S. Edhouse. for failing to notify the deputy-registrar of tlie
change of ownership of a motor vehicle, was fined £2 and costs 10s.
ST, AUG LITER HOUSE REG ULATIONS.
On a charge of having slaughtered sheep for human consumption in an unsanitary place John Harley was convicted and fined £3 and costs 10s. Ho was also convicted and ordered to pay costs 10s on a .charge of slaughtering sheen for human consumption in an unregistered slaughterhouse.
