The •’Morning Post” says that Australia’s Labour Government has accepted with good grace the unpalatable truths set forte, by Sir Otto Niemeyer’s diagnosis, but while responsible leaders are showing readiness to comply with the dictates of wisdom, menacing tones are issuing from extreme followers at the conference of industrial political wings of the New South Wales Labour Government, who demand the severance of the ‘‘gordian knot” by the repudiation of war debts. On the service of overseas Government loans neither Governmnets nor demagogues can flout the inexorable behests of economic laws any more than they can deflect the stars from their course.
