LOST IN THE BUSH
ROADMAN’S WIPE MUSSING j SEARCH PARTIES OUT (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) NAPIER, Aug. 26. Pears are entertained for the safety of Mrs Homing, wife of a roadman, living 112 miles on the Taupo side of Tarawera, who has been missing since Saturday evening. Mr and Mrs Heming were out together on Saturday afternoon. Heming left his wife to go in search of pigs. He wounded a Lrrge boar and called his dogs to track it as it penetrated deeper into the bush, thinking his iwifc would go home. On his return to the icamp later his wife was not there. Darkness set in and Heming returned to the bush and continued the search unsuccessfully until late into the night. The police* have since been engaged in an extensive search with the assistance of residents of the district, but, no trace of Mrs Heming has been found. The density of the bush and the ruggedness of the country, together with the bad weather since 'Saturday, make the search difficult and the plight of the woman serious.
