AUCKLAND’S FAREWELL
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 26. A small party of unemployed waving a hostile banner and indulging in cat calls took part in the farewell to Hon. G. Mb Forbes at the wharf at 11.30 to-day, but the Prime Minister was unperturbed and he waved to friends and foes alike as he stood on the gangway with Mrs Forbes till he was joined by Sir Thomas and Lady Sidey. Previously Mr Forbes and party were accorded a civic farewell at the Town Hall, Mr Forbes in his reply stating it would he his first visit- to England. One subject of great importance to the conference was the matter of Empire trade. If something could be done to f-oster that- it might go a long way to help hold the Emoire together,
