OAK. COMES TO GRIEF. INJURED OBSERVER CONTINUES. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 26. While a- light car was continuing a record-breaking run from Auckland to Invercargill*thi» morning it skidded in the shingle on the Greta Cutting, north Canterbury, and somersaulted down the bank. The driver, A. McDonald, "'as unhurt, but the- observer, H. Outlibertson, was knocked unconscious for 20 minutes. He recovered and the car was placed back on the road and proceeded tinder its own power.
