A BETTER OUTLOOK
N.S.W. COAL DISPUTE UNASSOCIATED MINES BUSY MEN MAY RETURN IN BODY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) SYDNEY, Feb. 13. The coal situation is unchanged. Work is proceeding in several of the northern unassociated pits, and coal is being carted away in lorries without hindrance.
The Rothbury colliery is working toll time, and the police' are having no trouble with the idle miners.
The feeling is prevalent that the miners are now waiting for the decision of the High Court on the validity of the last Beeby award. If this goes against them they will return to work in a body. John Brown, owner of the Richmond Main pit, South Maitland, one of the largest and best collieries, lias decided to call for men next week, preferably former employees. If they decline he will appeal for volunteer practical miners. •.
