CONTROL OF RUGBY.

TARANAKI UNION COMAHTTEE. A special meeting of the management committee, of the Taranaki Rugby Union was held at Stratford on Thursday, when there were present: Alessrs J. AlcLeod (chairman), R. blasters, W. A. Guy, J. Goodwin, AY. H. Moyeg, EL H. Young, J. Paterson, J. Garcia and S. E. Neilsou (secretary). The Alaori Advisory Board asked the union to release a number of player's 1 for the Prince of Wales Cup match on September 11. The players were Ike, R. Williams, T, Conroy, R. Watson, T. Robinson and R. Hohaia.

As this is the day the Taranaki team play Alanawhenua at Palmerston North, the matter was left in the hands of the -sole selector, Air Guy, who will accede to the request as far as possible.

j TOURISTS’ ITINERARY. It was decided to send 21 players on tour with the representative team, Mr J. Goodwin was appointed manager. The itinerary was approved as follow®: Leave Hawera Tuesday, September 10, and: stay at new Royal Hotel, Palmerston North ; play Manawhenua on September 11; leave, for Napier, September 12; stay at Caledonian Hotel; play Hawke’s Bay, Saturday, September 14;. leave- Napier by cars for Gisborne, September 15; -stay at Albion Hotel; leave Gisborne by car for Ruatorea-, Septemr ber 16 and stay at Coast Hotel; play East Coast, Wednesday ilßtii; leave Ruatorea. for Gisborne, Thursday, 19th; stay at Albion Hotel; play Poverty Bay September 21; leave Gisborne for Napier, September 22 ; stay Caledonian Hotel; leave Napier by express for Ijome on Monday, September 2d. B. TEAM GAMES.

The B team will play at Rangitikei on Wednesday, September IS, and Weir Jington on Saturday, September 21. The team will leave for Marton on September IS; play Rangitikei the- same day; leave Marton for Wellington, September 19; stay at Grand Hotel; play Wellington, Saturday, September 21; leave Wellington on Monday for home. Mr J. Garcia was appointed manager. Okaiawa and City were granted permission to play a match at Hawera on September 11.

Star seniors were granted permission to play Hawera seniors at New Plymouth on September 14. It was decided to endeavour to arrange a match between New Ph-moutli High School and St- Patrick's College for the next Hawera Winter Show.
