ROTORUA TOURNEY FINISHED fjtfy Tcwfgrapti—Press Association.) ROTORUA, Aug. 30. The Rotorua championship golf meeting closed to-day in fine weather. A great contest between Rex George (Auckland) and Mor.rice (Rotorua) resulted in a win for George, 2 up and 1 to play. In an equally good contest for the junior cup Goss (Wanganui) defeated Western (Auckland), 3 and 1. Maingay (Morrinsville) won the Dominion Veterans’ Cup front Trice (Glendowie), 6 and 5.
The visitors were enthusiastic over the course and the hospitality of the Rotorua Club. The president, Mr F. W. Wilkie, presented the trophies, congratulating the winners.
