The Wanganui Garrison wins the McLead Cup which goes with this event. READJUSTMENT IN QUARTETTE. AVANGANUI, Feb. 28. Owing to an irregularity in connection with the band contest, the Woolston quartette party was disqualified in the quartette competition. The first prize has been awarded, to St. Kilda, and Timaru is second. 0 Q PICK STEP COMPETITION! ‘ An opportunity will be given to the people of AA r anganui and visitors to hear the crack hands competing at the contest when the quickstep competition'will'be held in Cook’s Gardens on Saturday. This will be preceded by the street marching competition, held for the first time in New ©Zaland. These will commence at 12 noon.
