Tlie South Electric Power Company’s power-house at Border town was destroyed by lire yesterday. The damage is estimated at £SOOO. * The town supply of power p,nd electric light is cut off, including the local hospital, which was also dependent on the system. A 500-gad on tank of crude' oil caught fire and sent up cluuds of bl’acic smoke, but fortunately it did not explode.
