THEFT OF £SOO ADMITTED. (By T<-legrapn—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 24. In the Police Court William Frederick Thomas, aged 27, until recently a clerk employed by the Commercial Bank of Australia in Auckland, pleaded guilty to six charges of stealing ■aims totalling £507 13s 4d, the property of the Bank. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Thomas had been employed by the bank for ten years. In a Statement to the police he admitted having converted the money to his own use, and said lie had spent it in gambling and luxurious living. The money had all been spent and he was now without means.
