RULES AMENDED. DATES SUGGESTED FOR BIENNIAL GAMES. dv IwlPtfrApti —Pret*s Association.; WELLINGTON, Jan. 15. A. - 1 a. meeting of the- executive- council of the Amateur Athletic Association, a number of amendments to the rules were adopted, including one disqualifying any* competitor in a cycle road race- who accepts outside pacing or who shelters behind riders or cars that have nothing to do with therace. It wa> also decided to allow pacemakers in scratch and champion events.
Mr Maries, secretary of the- Australian Association, who was present, suggested 1931 and 1933 for the first of the biennial games between Australia and New Zealand, as both would be clear of other fixtures. The visit of the German athletes to Australia having fallen through, the Victorian Association asked for the co-operation of New Zealand in arranging for a -visit from international athletes next season.
