WASHINGTON, Jan. 11. Senator W. ,E. Borah to-day began an independent investigation to ascertain the perpetrators ox the forged documents the contents of which, published, to-day, disclosed that lie and .•senator Morris ostensibly received a sum to obtain American de jure recognition of the Soviet. Mr. Borah has declared that the State Department should call upon the Russian Government to run the matter to death “My Government owes it to me to clear it up,” he said.
