FORTY-FOUR TONS OF MILK.
Another British cow lias achieved the listinction of yielding more than 3UOO '•aliens of milk in a year. Only eight cows in the Old Country can do this. The last cow who has so nobly adduct to the laurels of her sex and species Sudborne Dairymaid 11. She is a British Friesian, and is owned by Mr John Bromet. She gave a great yield an Golf Links Farm, Tadcaster, and is in Mr Bromet’s Golf herd, which recently won the cup for the highest herd average in Yorkshire. Sudborne Dairymaid 11 was born on March 14, 1920, and has calved five times. Her total milk yield in gallons is 10,005. Her present weight is 14 cwt., and as she lias yielded forty-four tons’of milk, she has produced sixtythree times her own weight.
