BASKETBALL.
HAWERA WIN YESTERDAY. Hawera ladies travelled to Norfolk Road yesterday, winning a match with the 100n 1 ' team by six points to four, Misses Goodger '(3), Bublitz (2) and Ryan (1) being the* scorers in a doselycontested match. A Wellington rep. team will visit Hawera probably n.?xt- Wednesday, when thev will meet a. Ipc-al team, it also plays ’Taranaki before going north to the annual tourney. Taranaki will also send a team to* Auckland. There are fifteen, basket ball tennis, in Taranaki and no Less than ninety in Wellington.
