LONDON TO CAPE.
AFRICAN OFFICER’S ATTEMPT. (Australian Press Association—United Service.) Received 1.25 p.m., to-day. LONDON, July 29. Flying Officer Murdoch, of the South African Air Force, left Croydon to -day in ah Avro-Aviah in an attempt to fly to Capetown and back, 16,000 miles, in eighteen days. He states that he intends to show’ that it is possible to fly through the rainy season of Soudan, and that therefore an all-round-the-year service is feasible.
