HA\yER'A MEN’S CLUB. MATCHES WITH ELTHAM. A senior team for Eltham paid a week-end visit to Hawera, while a junior team went to Eltham. By a coincidence the results were similar in both ma tches—a win for Eltham in the morning and a draw in,-the afternoon. At Hawera Mr. Reeves expressed on behalf of the Eltham Club the appreci-' at ion felt by the visitors at the cordial reception given by the Hawera players. In his acknowledgment of the kindly feelings expressed, Mr. Hay Mackenzie said that the Hawera players were always glad to have matches with their friends at Eltham. He referred to the scheme of co-operation in regard to coaching by the professional which was being arranged by the Hawera dub, and which was meeting with a ready response from the other cluhs in South Taranaki. The result, he said, was already evident among the young players of Hawera, and would undoubtedly be of material advantage ,to the game all over the district.
