SUICIDE AT OMATA.
MENTALLY DEPRESSED FARMER. An inquest concerning the death <t& Mr «J. A. Jvurth, of Barrett -Road, Oinata, who was found dead on Iris farm on Wednesday afternoon, was held at New Plymouth on Saturday before the district coroner (Mr It. W. Tate, S.M.). Senior-Sergeant McCfcrie conducted the proceedings on behalf of the police. Evidence was given by Maurice R. Sutcliffe, son-in-law, and Part ley C. Kurth, son of deceased, who stated that the late Mr Ivurth had been in poor health for «ome time, and was inclined to worry over trifling matters. Dr. D. Blackley said he had attended the deceased isome months ago. Hi.s ill-health was associated with mental depression. 'five coroner found that deceased had taken his own life while in a. state'of i mental depression.—‘Herald.” ,
