PROGRESS TO BE' REPORTED. ARRANGEMENTS FOR BROADCASTING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 5,. Complete preparations are being made (by the Radio Broadcasting Company of New Zealand to give the public' the fullest details of Squadron Commander Kingston] .Smith’s flight across the T-asman -Sea. All New Zealand stations will foe on the air from the time the airmen leave Australia until they land in Now Zealand. If a landing is made at Soek'burn a full description of it will be given. Morse messages during the flight will be picked up and decoded and the messages broadcast to listeners. UNSUCCESSFUL APPLICANT. DANNEVIRKE, July 5. Captain Ivan L. Knight, one of the main promoters and very closely associated with the ill-fated HoodMoncrieff Tasman flight, made an offer when the Southern Cross was at Suva, through sources in Sydney, to accompany Squadron-Commander Kingsford-Smit-h on his Tasman flight, but according to advice received from .the person whom he asked to act for him, Commander Smith had completed his complement, which did. nob include the Dannevirke applicant.
