An emphatic denial was, made by Tex Rickard, boxing promoter, to-day, to rumour© that he was considering the substitution of another heavyweight for Tom Hneney and would postpone the bout with Gene Tmmey for the world’s championship due to alleged lack of interest.
He stated that advance sales already exceeded 250,000 dollars, and added that lie thought the -betting odds, would favour Heen.ey throe to one when lie entered the ring to fight Tunney.
