I) ANN EYIRKEI RETAINS NOR,DEN CUP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DANNKVIRKEI, June 13. The first men’s hockey challenge match of the season for the Norden Cup was played at Dannevirke to-dlay under good conditions between Wairarapa (challengers) and Dannevirke (holders). After a hard game Dannevirke proved victorious by 4 goals to 2. The score at half-time was even, being one all, Bannister scoring for the visitors and Mclntosh for Dannevirke. The holders opened the second half sensationally, Mclntosh scoring two goals in as many minutes. Gallon scored in this spell for Wairarapa and with five minute® to go Robinson shot a fourth goal for the home side.
