CANADIAN LIBEL ACTION. JURY DIVIDED. A SMALL SUM GRANTED. ' (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Received 11 a.m. to-day. OTTAWA, May 1. A message from Cobourg states that, after a fortnight’s sensational- trial, the jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff in General Currie’s 50,000-dol-lar libel suit, awarding 500 dollars damages. . It was understood that the jury .was for several hours divided, eleven ‘being for plaintiff, and ewie for defendants.-
