NEW YORK’S WELCOME. TO GERMAN FLIERS. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHTS (AUSTRALIAN PRESS ASSOCIATION.) •NEW YORK, April 30. Baron Huenfiold, Lieut. Koehl and Major Fitzmaurice received the city’s official reception, in which Mrs Koehl, Mrs Fitzmaurice and her small daughter, Patricia, all of whom arrived in the morning aboard the liner Dresden, partook. The fliers have been here unofficially for two days. They were then taken by boat to the Battery and duly welcomed at the pier, where after they proceeded to the City Hall, the bands playing German and Irish melodies, the crowds making a terrific noise and swamping, the parade -with ticker tape and torn paper. The city had ten thousand police on duty, but often experienced difficulty in restraining the enthusiasm of the crowd from affecting the passage of the fliers. They heard an address from the Mayor, to which all replied in English. Afterwards the parade' proceeded along Fifth Avenue to the civil memorial eternal light, thence to Central Parle; huge crowds according them a vociferous welcome along the whole route.

THIS WEEK’S PROGRAMME NEW YORK, April 30. The Gorman fliers will be banquetted on Tuesday night and officially welcomed at Washington on Wednesday. YESTERDAY’S PROGRAMME. Received 10.10 a.m. to-dav. NEYV YORK, May 1. Koehl made four .short flights in the Bremen’s sister ship, Fl 3, after which he, Major Fitzmaurice and Baron Huenfeld visited the “New York World” building, then placed a wreath at Washington’s statre in Wall Street and visited the British Consul. The .liers will be given a civic banquet tonight at Hotel Commodore. Huge .-rewds followed them everywhere.
