VANCOUVER, March 23. The strike of university students at Kingston was called off after a mass meeting. Received 10.35 a.m. to-day.
OTTAWA, March 23. A message from Pembroke, Ontario, states that utter being placed in an orphanage as an infant, actopted at the age of six, and experiencing the hardships of working on a Canadian farm as a hoy, Charles Leonard, aged 21, who is now employed on a farm near here, has fallen joint heir with his sister to 97,000 dollars, the estate of an uncle in Beliast, Ireland. VANCOUVER, March 22.
A message at protest against -any interfejrence ’with the Canadian-Aus-tralian trade treaty has been sent to the Premier, Mr Mackenzie King, and the Minister of Trade and Commerce at Ottawa by the council of the Vancouver Board of Trade. In the opinion of the board, the treaty has proved oi gre-aio value to Vancouver and British Columbia.
NEW YORK, March 23
How close is New Zealand to- Alaska P Captain Wilkins at Point Bair-row is trying to answer this question in terms of -radio, his portab’o set having some difficulty in communicating with Seward, because of interference by cthei stations. When the identity of these was traced it was found they included one in New York City and two in New Zealand.
