UNITED POLITICAL PARTY. (BY TELEGRAPP—PRESB ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, March 18. Before leaving for Winton this morning Mr. G. Forbes, the Nationalist leader, stated that United Political Party candidates would stand for every seat in Otago. Mr. Davy, organiser for the party, stated that some of the candidates for various provincial districts would he announced in a fortnight’s time PETROL TAX ALLOCATION. DUNEDIN, March 16. Mr Ansell, president of the South Island Motor Union, has written to the Premier asking whether, since he has given assurance that the petrol tax allocation will conform to the number of vehicles of each island, he will state definitely before meeting the South Island Union on March 30, whether he will arrange during the coming session for legislation giving effect to this assurance.
