The visitors won the toss and put "Wanganui in. Woodfull and Oldfield stood out of the visiting team. Orr faced Morton, and McNameewas the other bowler. The batsmen opened tamely, the first 10 runs taking 20 minutes. Grimmett replaced McNamee at 22, and Oxenham replaced Morton. The score at 12.15 p.m. was none for 28. After Orr’s departure disaster befel Wanganui, Grimmett proving deadly. At luncheon the score was eight for 64. Details are: WANGANUI. , Pirst Innings.
