MANAIA.
HIBERNIAN SPORTS. (Front Our Own Correspondent). A general meeting of the Manaia Hibernian Sports Committee was held on IVednsday evening in Manaia Town Hall, when there was a good attendance, presided over by Mr A- J. Hansen (president). The business of the meeting was in connection with the annual sports, to be held on March 24. > Prices for supplying music for the day were received from Manaia Municipal Brass Band and Eltham Pipe Band. It was decided to engage the Eltham Pipe Band on the same conditions as last year, also to engage the Manaia Municipal Brass Band for the sevon-a-sido Cootl)alI tournament which is to he held at. a: later date.
It was decided to donate £2 10s to the Manaia Municipal Band for the contest' fund.
Repairs to the dancing platform was left in the hands of Air E. Alassey. A working bee is to he held oil the track to-morrow.
It was decided to send a letter of eongratualtion to S. Lav on his selection to renresep h New Zealand at the Olympic Games.
